Program Summary

Families stay at White Tree Lodge in Shinano/Myoko, Nagano, while children enjoy beginner-friendly ski lessons in the mornings and iForest nature-based experiences in the afternoons.

This program blends ski skill-building with child-led winter exploration, supported by a small group size (4–6 children) and a high staff-to-student ratio. March is a great time to enjoy snow and some blue skies. There are plenty of add-on options to fit everyone's needs.

Pick-up and drop-off are provided at Iiyama Shinkansen Station, making the journey easy from Tokyo.

Safely and care

At SkiForest, safety and well-being are our top priority. Children are supervised by trained iForest practitioners experienced in outdoor education and early childhood development. Ski lessons are provided by certified instructors on gentle, beginner-friendly slopes. Our team monitors weather and snow conditions throughout the day to adapt activities when necessary. We maintain a high teacher-to-student ratio, ensuring every child receives personal attention, encouragement, and support throughout the week.

Accommodation

SkiForest partners with White Tree Lodge, a family-friendly mountain lodge in Shinano/Myoko, Nagano. The lodge offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere with easy access to the ski area and all program activities.

White Tree Lodge meals are prepared with care using simple ingredients and minimal additives. The focus is on a wholesome well balanced meal for the start to the end of the day.

The lodge provides comfortable rooms, drying areas for winter gear, and smooth support throughout your stay. Pick-up and drop-off are arranged directly from Iiyama Shinkansen Station, making travel easy for families coming from Tokyo.

    Registration for SkiForest Winter Camp begins on December 15. Families may secure their spot through our online booking page.

    Enrollment closes on February 28 or earlier if all spots are filled. SkiForest operates with a small group size of 4–6 children, so early registration is strongly recommended.

    If the program reaches capacity, families may join the waitlist. We will contact waitlisted families as soon as a space becomes available.

Weather & Schedule Adjustments

Activities, ski lessons, and the daily itinerary may be adjusted due to weather or safety considerations. Our team will always prioritize the well-being and safety of all participants.

 

Supervision & Responsibility

Children are supervised during scheduled program hours only. Parents are responsible for their child outside of ski lessons and iForest program times.

 

Group Size & Minimum Enrolment

SkiForest operates with a small group size (4–6 children). The program may be rescheduled or refunded if minimum enrolment is not met.

 

Health & Safety Requirements

Participants must be able to follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate winter clothing. Parents are responsible for ensuring their child arrives with proper gear.

 

Travel Responsibility

Families are responsible for arranging transportation to and from Iiyama Station for program pick-up and drop-off times.
