Terms and Conditions
Welcome to iForest! We are committed to providing your child with a safe, engaging, and enriching outdoor experience. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By enrolling your child, you agree to these terms.
1. Safety and Risk Management
1.1 Trained Staff
All iForest teachers are First Aid certified, carry a first aid kit, and conduct regular risk assessments of the environment and activities. Additional on-the-spot assessments are carried out to ensure the natural area is safe for participants.
1.2 Inherent Risks
While we prioritize safety, nature is inherently unpredictable. Children may engage in activities such as:
- Using tools like knives, saws, and fire steels
- Playing in shallow bodies of water
- Building and attending fires
- Navigating uneven terrain (muddy, rocky, or slippery)
Risks include minor injuries, insect bites, falls, or encounters with wildlife.
1.3 Supervision
iForest staff will guide and support children in managing these risks safely and responsibly.
2. Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability
2.1 Assumption of Risk
By enrolling your child, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved in iForest activities. You agree that you have been informed of these risks and voluntarily assume all responsibility on behalf of your child.
2.2 Waiver of Liability
You agree to release and hold iForest, its staff, and affiliates harmless from any claims, injuries, or losses that may occur during your child’s participation. This waiver applies to all dates your child attends iForest and is binding on your heirs and estate.
3. Attendance and Make-Up Policy
3.1 Attendance
Regular attendance is encouraged to ensure a consistent experience for your child.
3.2 Missed Sessions
- First missed session: May be rescheduled at no extra charge.
- Additional missed sessions: A make-up fee of ¥3,000 per session will apply.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
4.1 Parent Cancellations
- 14 days prior to the program: Full refund.
- 7–14 days prior: 50% refund.
- Less than 7 days: No refund.
4.2 iForest Cancellations
If iForest cancels a session, we will offer a rescheduled date or a full refund.
5. Medical Aid and Insurance
5.1 Health Information
Parents must provide accurate medical information, including allergies and any special conditions, upon registration.
5.2 Emergency Procedures
In the event of an injury, iForest staff are authorized to administer first aid and call for emergency services if necessary. Parents are responsible for covering any medical expenses.
5.3 Health Insurance
iForest provides basic health insurance coverage for all participants during the program. However, parents/guardians are responsible for any additional costs related to minor clinic visits or hospital care beyond what is covered by iForest.
6. Adverse Weather Conditions
6.1 Weather Impact
iForest reserves the right to cancel or modify activities in case of inclement weather to ensure the safety of participants.
6.2 Sun and Insect Protection
iForest will provide sunscreen and mosquito repellent to protect your child during outdoor activities. Please inform us of any allergies or sensitivities, and feel free to provide alternatives if needed.
7. Photography and Video Consent
7.1 Media Use
iForest may take photographs and videos during sessions for communication with parents and promotional purposes. If you do not wish for your child to be photographed, please notify us in writing.
